Creative Collage Exploration

May 12 - May 12
12–2 p.m.

Embark on a creative journey with Marlene Lowden as she delves into the world of abstract art through shape and scale. No prior art-making experience is needed; this workshop is designed for beginners and seasoned creators alike. Marlene will share insights into how she incorporates collage into her own practice, providing inspiration and practical guidance. All materials provided (feel free to bring your own magazines or whatever visual materials you'd like to work with).

In the first half of the course, engage in playful exercises that show how shapes of varying sizes are expert at conveying abstract ideas and messages. In the second half you will be invited to craft a unique collage, further exploring how to combine shapes and sizes to tell your visual story.
