Mark Making, the Language of Abstraction

June 22 - June 23
9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Join exhibiting artist Marlene Lowden for a two-day course that takes you on a journey into the expressive world of abstraction. No prior experience is required, just your willingness to explore the unknown.

Immerse yourself in the realm of abstract art and expect traditional notions of representation to be challenged. Marks on canvas go beyond mere gestures; they convey emotions, thoughts, and ideas. Learn the intricacies of mark-making and give your work deeper meaning, emotion, and personality.

Engage in exercises rooted in the 7 Elements of Design that will unlock your intuition. Enjoy the freedom to paint and experiment without the pressure of completing a piece. This course provides the time and space for creative exploration.

A supply list will be provided upon registration.

Location: The Music Box, Harmony Room, 1564 Argyle Avenue
