About the instructor

Letizia Dotto is a multi-disciplinary artist from Vancouver. A former professional dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Letizia moved to Florence, Italy in 2020 to pursue her passion for visual arts, studying painting, drawing and sculpture, at the Accademia D’Arte.

Letizia’s work explores transposing connection and emotion in human relationships. Her portraits, figurative art and performances move past the superficiality of the body to emphasize how it can act as a conduit for our inner worlds. Through her work, she highlights the sensitive, intuitive and nurturing qualities of women and feminine strength.

Letizia currently works and resides between Sicily and Vancouver, conducting workshops and lessons and pursuing her research in various dance styles, movement techniques, and performance art. She has participated in local exhibitions within Italy and abroad in both the mediums of painting and performance.
